Standard Benefits:
At Amedisys, we take care of our employees just as we take care of our patients. We proudly offer one of the best benefit packages in the home health and hospice industry as we pride ourselves with recognizing the importance of a generous benefits program to our employees. Our comprehensive benefits package is designed to meet the needs of our employees and their family members.

We realize that employees are focused on saving for the future; therefore, we are committed to helping them meet their long-term retirement objectives. Employees may participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and/or our 401K savings plan, which has an accompanying generous, matching contribution.

In addition, it is our goal at Amedisys to encourage employee personal and professional growth; therefore, we offer a tuition reimbursement plan for employees wishing to further their educational careers.

In addition to company-provided benefits, such as group life insurance and long-term disability insurance, our rich benefits package includes the following:
  • 401 (K) Plan with Generous Employer Matching Contribution: Available for all employees.

  • Eight (8) Paid Holidays: All full-time employees are eligible for holiday pay upon hire. Holidays include: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): This provides work-life resource and referral services for family care, personal services, career, and benefits information.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Full and part-time employees are available.

Amedisys Academy LearnCenter
The Amedisys Academy LearnCenter is a web-based platform that was designed for our employees' training and learning management needs. It conveniently links employees to available training and resources and integrates the latest technology and current learning trends. It is designed to enhance employee performance and motivation, and renew a commitment to life-long learning. The LearnCenter aligns with business initiatives and maintains the company's competitive edge as the home health care provider of choice by:
  • Allowing for global access to learning and development of new skills
  • Furthering Amedisys' standards for clinical excellence
  • Establishing Amedisys as a learning organization
  • Advancing Amedisys' use of technology
Development plans are created based on each employee's job within the organization. Extensive disease management and work-related resources and job aids are available with a click of the mouse, anytime, anywhere. This type of training is more learner-controlled, which increases the opportunity for professional development and creates more effective job performance.

Lagniappe:
In addition to our standard benefits and dedication to the professional development for our employees, there are a few "extra" perks to working for Amedisys - we call these "lagniappe!"

Bill's Book Club
When you sign up to work for Amedisys, you also sign up for a lifetime of free reading! That's right - for the entire time our employees are with our Company, we will reimburse them for any book that they buy as long as they put it on the library shelf at their local agency or department to share with the rest of their coworkers. Employees can choose any book that interests them, too! Our CEO Bill Borne strongly encourages his employees to take up his passion for reading and generously encourages them with this huge incentive.
